Equity Driven Democrats is a Democratic coalition of Democratic clubs, local leaders, and working families dedicated to improving and strengthening our community.
Our coalition is guided by the following values: respect, inclusiveness, equity, service to others, and open-mindedness.
We are running to ensure our Sacramento democratic governing system is united and available for all people to participate.
We support and will work with local leaders to find solutions to the following issues:
Homelessness - We must find a path forward to address homelessness and the lack of affordable housing by identifying results driven approaches.
Environment – California must continue to lead on environmental policies to maintain access to clean air and water. As we continue to see the increase of wildfires and the use of rolling blackouts, we must hold those responsible accountable.
Jobs - Our Sacramento region must attract quality, good-paying jobs that prepare our residents for the jobs of tomorrow.
Education – Education is the cornerstone of opportunity for many in our state and country. Education must be affordable and not drive students and families into debt.
Accountability and Transparency – Accountability and transparency are vital to our government, including for our local democratic party. We commit to ensuring meetings are accessible and open for all to participate.
