Raymond Babbini
VALLEJO - Raymond P. Babbini. 77. a former Vallejo fire captain, died Wednesday at a Vallejo hospital. Mr. Babbini. a Duluth, Minn., native, lived in Vallejo most of his life. He retired from the department in 1962 after 25 years of service.
Mr. Babbini was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy, the Firemen's Association and Sutro Ranch Hunting Club.
He is survived by two daughters, Rena McGraw in Mississippi and Rayma Prebula of Vallejo ; one son, Raymond of Napa; two sisters, Mary Bagwell and Celia Grigg of Vallejo; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The rosary will be recited at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo. at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Basil's Catholic Church, Vallejo. Entombment will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery, Vallejo. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
