Edward Kemble Elementary School

On Friday, June 13th, the Class of 2025 returned to Edward Kemble one last time before the building says its final goodbye.

Students walked the halls where their journey began and reconnected with some of their former teachers—smiles, hugs, and stories filled the rooms once again. It was a beautiful full-circle moment, seeing how far they’ve come and remembering where it all started.

Though Edward Kemble will soon be gone, the memories built here—and the bonds we’ve formed—will remain forever. 💙

Yesterday marked our final Community Walk as one united Edward Kemble family — and what a beautiful moment it was. 💙

Hundreds of students, families, and staff came together to celebrate the heart of our school community. From enjoying pan dulce, sharing laughs, and signing our Memory Wall, to capturing our very last whole school photo, the joy and pride in the air was unforgettable.

As we enter our final four days of school, we hold tight to the memories we’ve made and the legacy we’ve built — together. We promise to make every remaining moment count, filled with joy, love, and gratitude for this special place we’ve all called home.

Tonight at the Board Meeting, we had the privilege of honoring our very own Maestra Herrera as Bilingual Teacher of the Year—a recognition that beautifully reflects the incredible impact she’s had on our students, staff, and community.

With over 20 years of dedicated service, Maestra Herrera has been a pillar of our dual language program—nurturing young minds, empowering families, and uplifting bilingual education with passion and expertise. Her influence goes far beyond the classroom. She has mentored and guided many of the current dual language teachers on our campus, helping to build a legacy of excellence that continues to thrive today.

We are incredibly proud and grateful to celebrate this phenomenal educator. ¡Felicidades, Maestra Herrera! Your work is felt deeply, and your legacy is lasting.

Esta noche, en la Reunión de la Junta Directiva, tuvimos el privilegio de honrar a nuestra Maestra Herrera como Maestra Bilingüe del Año, un reconocimiento que refleja a la perfección el increíble impacto que ha tenido en nuestros estudiantes, personal y comunidad. Con más de 20 años de dedicación, la Maestra Herrera ha sido un pilar de nuestro programa de lenguaje dual, nutriendo las mentes de los jóvenes, empoderando a las familias e impulsando la educación bilingüe con pasión y experiencia. Su influencia va mucho más allá del aula. Ha sido mentora y guía de muchos de los maestros de lenguaje dual actuales en nuestro campus, ayudando a construir un legado de excelencia que continúa prosperando hoy. Estamos sumamente orgullosos y agradecidos de celebrar a esta fenomenal educadora. ¡Felicidades, Maestra Herrera! Su labor es muy reconocida y su legado perdura.

I am excited to share some wonderful news with you! Many of our families have expressed interest in adult English classes at our center, and thanks to a new collaboration with the Charles A. Jones Adult Education Center, this widely craved dream is coming true.

We have already hired an instructor and plan to launch classes early next school year. In preparation, we will organise two briefings to provide details on the programme, registration and expectations.

Muchas de nuestras familias han expresado interés en las clases de inglés para adultos en nuestro centro, y gracias a una nueva colaboración con el Centro de Educación para Adultos Charles A. Jones, este sueño largamente anhelado se está haciendo realidad.

Ya hemos contratado a un instructor y planeamos lanzar las clases a principios del próximo año escolar. Como preparación, organizaremos dos sesiones informativas para brindar detalles sobre el programa, la inscripción y las expectativas.
