Sacramento Living History We are a Living History volunteer group based out of Old Sacramento.

We work closely with the Sacramento History Alliance to bring historically accurate re-enactments, events, and scenes to the greater Sacramento area. The Sacramento Living History Program is a volunteer historical group whose goal is to bring the early days of Sacramento City to life through historical re-enactments, vignettes and strolls on the streets of Old Sacramento, California. We represent people from Sacramento between 1849 and 1870, from the Gold Rush to the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad.

I hope everyone will come out this weekend.

Join us at the Sacramento History Museum and Hastings Annex (1002 2nd Street) on Saturday, August 10th, from 12pm to 3pm to experience some of the maker-skills and artistry of life in the 1800s. Our dedicated volunteers from the Sacramento Living History will be on hand to showcase historic skills, period crafts and games that will transport you back in time.

Come out and try your hand at these unique experiences and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Victorian era Sacramento. Admission to the Museum includes these activities, so bring the family for a day of fun and learning.
