The workshop takes place on Wednesday, July 23 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Sustainable Business Awards honors Sacramento County businesses or non-profit organizations in six distinct categories that have been impactful towards sustainability in their daily business practices. The Sacramento County - Office of Economic Development Business Environmental Resource Center is pleased to announce the nomination period is now open for the 2025 Sustainable Business Awards.

All organizations, large or small, located in Sacramento County are encouraged to participate. Award categories include:

💡 Energy Conservation
🛢️ Pollution Prevention
♻️ Solid Waste Reduction
🌳 Green Design
🚊 Transportation/Air Quality

This Program showcases business excellence, award recipients will:

Sacramento County Department of Waste Management and Recycling is offering free waste diversion toolkits for small and microbusinesses to improve waste management practices, enhance sustainability, and meet regulatory requirements. Sacramento Metro Air Quality Management District has moved to an online reporting system for Sac Metro Air District permit holders! All permitted stationary sources must report emissions to the Sac Metro Air District by March 15, 2025. If you need any assistance in creating an account, Sac Metro Air District has created an easy step-by-step instruction video for existing permit holders. Any new or prospective permit holders must contact the Air District prior to creating an account. If you need any assistance on the reporting portal, the team at the Business Environmental Resource Center is here to help!
