Thank you to the city managers and management staff from across Los Angeles County who joined us for the Los Angeles County Division’s 2026 Countywide City Managers Meeting.

Attendees received important updates and insights on key regional and statewide issues impacting our cities, including Cal Cities’ strategies & priorities, a S**G regional update, the growing sports economy in Los Angeles County, and data centers & California electricity policy.

A special thank you to our presenters for sharing their expertise and perspectives on these important topics impacting cities across our region and state.

Thank you to City of Lakewood and Ulises Cabrera for providing lead testimony in support of a League of California Cities sponsored bill AB 1708 (Solache) before the Assembly Human Services Committee. AB 1708 seeks to increase access to Homeless Housing Assistance and Prevention (HHAP) funding for cities with populations under 300,000.

City leaders from the Los Angeles County Division are at California’s Capitol, engaging directly with state legislators to advance local priorities and strengthen the voice of cities across our region.

The League of California Cities is excited to sponsor California Cities Week, April 19-25, 2026. California Cities Week is a weeklong celebration to recognize and appreciate the many ways that our diverse cities make life better for all who call California home. Join us in celebrating the Golden State’s 483 cities – especially the city officials, staff, and services – that help our communities thrive.

Thank you to City of Bellflower - Local Government Mayor Sonny R. Santa Ines and City of Paramount Council Member Peggy Lemons for providing lead testimony in support of a League of California Cities sponsored bill AB 1708 (Solache) before the Assembly Housing and Community Development Committee. AB 1708 would help ensure that communities of all sizes have a meaningful role in the state’s homelessness response efforts.
