49th Personnel Service Battalion
Constituted 23 April 1959 in the California Army National Guard as the 49th Administration Company and assigned to the 49th Infantry Division
Organized and Federally recognized 1 May 1959 at Alameda. Reorganized and redesignated 4 December 1965 as Company A, 49th Support Battalion, an element of the 49th Infantry Brigade

Welcome back SPC Joshua Smith. He took a short sabbatical to the civilian life but now he is back! The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Either way, we are all very excited to have this high speed young man back in uniform and once again, part of the Phoenix team!!

A very happy International Women’s Day! The United States Armed Forces, let alone the 49th Personnel Company, would not be as effective of an organization as we are without each and every one of the Women in and out of uniform. The Women Soldiers of the 49th PC are not only the core strength of our organization, they are heavily represented in the majority of our leadership positions.
The wives, mothers, sisters, aunts and all of the women in our lives who support us and sacrifice while we serve are the entire reason we do what we do. Your devotion does not go unnoticed or unrecognized.
Thank all of you brave, intelligent and motivated women for your service! We are all lucky to serve next to you!!

Sign up now!!! The Commander has authorized a SUTA for this who are not participating in the ODT. Contact your leadership with your registration to cash in on your SUTA and participate in this amazing opportunity!
You will have to pay your own way down but this program has helped so many Soldiers and their families. Having Soldiers and families from the 49th would be amazing!

Stay ready Soldiers of the 49th. You know that if there are fires 🔥, earthquakes, floods, or any other state emergency response needs, we are first in the shoot to respond. Make sure you are in communication with your leadership. Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready!

Effective Noon, Thursday, March 1, Santa Barbara County has issued a mandatory evacuation order for residents near the Thomas, Sherpa and Whittier fires burn areas due to winter rainstorms expected to last through Friday. See release before for more info.

You all pushed through a long AT/Drill week and all came out stronger, better trained and more confident in your skills, arms and equipment. A low temperature of 26 degrees didn’t stop us from executing the training! Well done!! Now let’s get ready for the next evolution of training!!
