Today, a large group of helping hands and helping hearts from joined us in spreading love at the center! From supporting our Children’s Corner and warmly welcoming guests to helping host a special giveaway of new clothing and socks, their kindness touched every corner of our community. Thank you for sharing your time, compassion, and commitment to making a difference. 💜

Today, our center was visited by Order of Malta Western Association, who helped us prepare and serve meals, spent time visiting with our guests, and shared laughter and genuine care. 🙏 We are so blessed to be a space of compassion for those we serve — made possible by the incredible people who uplift our mission and the community around them!

Our dedicated sewing teachers from Asg Sac surprised our community this morning with a special fabric giveaway! From teaching new skills and providing supplies to offering encouragement every step of the way, they help turn creativity into confidence and dreams into reality.
Whether stitching a first project or continuing a sewing journey, our guests are surrounded by support, kindness, and opportunity. Thank you to our incredible volunteers and the City of Sacramento’s Office of Arts & Culture - City of Sacramento for making SEW much magic happen! 🧵✨

This week, our Women’s Wellness Coordinator, Kelsey Long, MSW, led our guests in a heart-full origami activity centered around creativity, reflection, and connection. What began as a simple moment of therapeutic expression quickly blossomed into a meaningful space for sharing prayers, hopes, and wishes written onto handmade origami hearts.
Healing often lives in moments like these — quiet interactions rooted in care, creativity, and community. 💛

Our friends at Pacific Homecare Services showed our center a whole lot of love today while keeping their “squares warm!” Their incredible team of volunteers jumped in wherever support was needed, preparing and serving meals in our Nutritious Meal Program, spending time in our Children’s Corner, warmly welcoming guests at the door, and even supporting our diaper distribution.

Community service projects with our center come in many different forms, but it’s a person’s heart that truly makes all the difference. ❤️
Olivia reached out to create an impactful service project to fulfill the requirements for her Black Belt training at , and she showed up in a big way. With the support of her dojo community, she collected enough hygiene items to help support approximately 100 people in our community!
Please join us in celebrating Olivia — not only for this incredible accomplishment, but for the compassion, care, and heart she brought to her training journey.

What happens when you combine silent disco nature sounds, a surprise labyrinth walking meditation, a craft club experience, and great food? COMMUNITY 💛
Today was a beautiful reminder that kindness — not the loud, showy kind, but the quiet warmth that comes from unconditional belonging — makes a real difference in people’s lives.

Our friends from SAFE Credit Union joined us today in service with an incredible team of dedicated and compassionate volunteers who folded into programs across our center! From supporting our Children’s Corner, to serving meals, greeting guests, and helping with diaper distribution, they showed up ready to care for our community in so many meaningful ways. 💛 Please join us in thanking them for sharing their time, energy, and heart with Wellspring today!

This week we said “see you later” (no goodbyes here 💛) to our incredible cohort of MSW and BSW Social Work Interns! Each brought unique gifts, compassion, and so much love to our community. Thank you for helping our guests access support, resources, and connection! We are so grateful for all you’ve shared with Wellspring!

Today, Wellspring Women’s Center celebrated Mother’s Day in a big way! 💐 From a stuffed animal giveaway and delicious food to sweet treats from and a surprise live band, the day was filled with joy, connection, and celebration.
