California Cradle-to-Career Data System

In 2023, eight data providers shared historical data dating back to 10 years for C2C to link. This year, we doubled that number to 16, expanding the depth and breadth of the data that powers our tools.

Until now, the public has only been able to see a sliver of this data through our public facing tools like the Student Pathways Dashboard and Query Builder. Our new data dictionary offers a closer look at what’s exactly in the system.

The data dictionary helps users understand:
🔸 What data elements are in the system
🔸 Which data provider submits data
🔸 The earliest and most recent years received for a specific data
🔸 Status of each data

Cradle-to-Career’s Mary Ann Bates will be the keynote speaker at this year’s California Association for Institutional Research - CAIR’s 51st annual conference on October 30th.

This year’s theme is Cultivating Collaboration to Advance Student Success. Collaboration reflects a value that has guided our work over the last five years. C2C broke down silos to build a connected data system, an accomplishment achieved together with our data partners and California’s communities.

We look forward to connecting with the institutional research community and continuing to create more equitable futures together!

Cradle-to-Career’s Bay Area Data Walk is almost here!

We’re excited to bring data directly to communities where participants will dive into education data and hear directly from students about their experiences navigating college.
