Originally formed in 1865, the Exempt Fireman's Association was incorporated by Legislative Act on December 4, 1872.
Following several name changes, the new non-profit Sacramento Fire Department Relief Association was incorporated on July 1, 1921.

At Sacramento Fire House #2, members of the SFDRA rallied together to donate Christmas presents to the Children of Shriners Hospital! The money raised to purchase these gifts was donated by all the members of the SFDRA during our 3rd annual Christmas fundraiser! Gifts include IPads, AirPods, apparel, board games, legos and more!
