SacDOT has closed one lane in the southbound direction of Sunrise Blvd near Wildridge Dr. A stretch of the right lane and sidewalk are closed for emergency repairs to the sound wall. No estimation on when the lane will reopen. Please watch for lane merger signs posted near the closure.

Traffic Alert - SacDOT is replacing the New Hope Road Bridge at Grizzly Slough Project. New Hope Road will close from Orr Road to W. New Hope Road between April 10th, 2026, and November 30th, 2026. Access will be maintained for residents during construction.
Detour:
Eastbound Detour: North on N. Thornton Road to Franklin Blvd. East on Twin Cities Road. South on Christensen Road. West on New Hope.
Westbound Detour: North on Christensen Road. West on Twin Cities Road. South on Franklin Blvd to N. Thorton Road. East on New Hope Road.

We held a ribbon cutting today for the Watt Avenue Complete Streets Project. Supervisor Rich Desmond was on hand to highlight the County’s efforts to improve the roads.

Cherry Ln. from Elkhorn Blvd to Curved Bridge Rd
Curved Bridge Rd from Dry Creek Rd to Oak Ln
Call 311 if you see flooded roads. Turn around don't drown.

* Sorento Rd * between Elverta Rd & Rio Linda Rd
*Kiefer Blvd* between Jackson Rd. (HWY 16) to Kiefer Landfill
*Scott Rd* between Boys Ranch Rd and Latrobe Rd.
Call 311 if you see flooded roads. Turn around don't drown.

The roads will be slick as we ring in the new year. If you are out and about, give the driver in front of you extra time on the roads. Remember to avoid flooded roads and down trees. Call 311 and let County crews removed the problem.

The US National Weather Service Sacramento California has issued a flood watch for our area. Sacramento County has 3 sandbag sites open for residents in the unincorporated areas of the Sacramento County:
1. Orangevale Community Center at 6826 Hazel Avenue
2. County Branch Center at 3847 Branch Center Road
3. Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Station #116 at 7995 Elwyn Ave in Rio Linda.

Remember to bring your own shovel. The sites are self-serve. 20 bags per visit. For more information, please see www.stormready.org.
