FosterHope Sacramento is a licensed nonprofit California Foster Family Agency providing professional foster care to the greater Sacramento Valley region since 1985. Our sole purpose is to provide foster care within homes in the community for children who have been removed from their homes by child protective services because of neglect, abuse or sexual exploitation. Treatment for children relies o
n expert licensed social workers to provide in-home counseling and crisis management and a full time office-based support team of social workers, administrators and assistants to help in planning a positive permanent future for these children. The agency serves all local counties as well as the metropolitan area of Sacramento. Our homes range from Dixon to Shingle Springs and our office is centrally located in a professional building with a spacious suite to accommodate a large, dedicated visitation room, training facilities and conference room for use by home affiliates. Our low administrative overhead derives from our commitment to utilize resources for delivery of services to children. This means that we maintain a smaller administrative office staff so that services are mainly provided by social workers in the foster home. Through weekly in-home visits, social workers and foster parents work to help children achieve the treatment goals and permanency plan through a team approach which includes all relevant persons on the child's clinical team. Quarterly conferences are held to review and update these goals. Success is achieved when the child is reunified with the natural parents, adopted by a family or emancipates as an adult with a stable future.
