The Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) is a program which reduces freeway congestion by quickly finding and removing minor incidents from the freeway.
FSP saves area motorists millions of wasted hours battling traffic congestion and slowdowns. Specially-trained drivers in marked white trucks continuously rove area freeways during peak commute times on the lookout for minor accidents and stalled or disabled vehicles. Such incidents cause up to half of our local freeway congestion as a chain-reaction of passing motorists slow to avoid an accident

Happy Holidays! FSP will be on break starting December 24th and resuming service on January 2nd.
Monday, February 15th, is a SacMetro FSP holiday in observance of President’s Day.
SacMetro FSP holiday service is limited to 1 pm until 7 pm on I-80 at Jefferson Blvd in West Sacramento to Mace Blvd in Davis.
Monday, February 18th, is a FSP holiday in observation of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Modified service 1:00p to 7:00p Monday evening on the I-80 between Jefferson Blvd. and Mace Blvd.
