🎶❤️ What an incredible event at Christian Brothers High School!
Recently, Meals on Wheels Sacramento County was proud to be part of Feed the Beat, a student-led fundraiser organized by junior Eddie Torres that truly showcased the heart and talent of the CB community.
From an amazing lineup of student bands and musicians to stunning displays of visual art, dance, and pottery, the evening was a powerful celebration of creativity—all in support of a meaningful cause. 🎨
We are so grateful to everyone who made this event possible and to the students who shared their talents to help support local seniors.
A special thank you to our Meals on Wheels Sacramento County board members Brian, Judi, Lucienne, Susan, and William for coming out and showing their support—we appreciate you! 🙌

🎉 8 MILLION MEALS SERVED! 🎉
What an incredible milestone for Meals on Wheels Sacramento County!
On Thursday, we proudly delivered our 8 millionth meal to Gary Smith right here in Sacramento County—a powerful reminder of the impact this community continues to make for local seniors. 💛
To make the moment even more special, What’s in Season host Michael Marks from CBS joined us as our celebrity presenter, helping mark this historic delivery with warmth and celebration.
Each meal represents more than just nourishment—it’s a lifeline of connection, care, and independence for the seniors we serve every day. Reaching 8 million meals is only possible because of the dedication of our volunteers, staff, partners, and supporters who believe in showing up for our community.
Here’s to every meal delivered, every smile shared, and the many more still to come. 🥳

This marks our third year partnering together to spread a little extra love on Valentine’s Day, and the smiles say it all.
To make the day even brighter, local schools and service clubs generously created handmade Valentine’s Day cards that are being delivered along with each meal. These heartfelt notes and fresh flowers remind our seniors that they are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated by their community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make today a feel-good celebration of connection and care! 💌

🎄🎅 SOAR Feeds Seniors at Christmas 🎅🎄
These photos capture the heart of the holidays in action. Dr. Jayna—practicing veterinarian, licensed attorney, and representative for the City of Citrus Heights—went above and beyond this season through her nonprofit project, SOAR Feeds Seniors at Christmas.
Dressed as Santa, Dr. Jayna helped deliver nutritious meals to participants in our Meals on Wheels home-delivered program, bringing not only food, but smiles, laughter, and thoughtful goodies to brighten the day. 🎁❤️
We are deeply grateful for leaders like Dr. Jayna who use their time, talents, and compassion to uplift older adults and remind our community that the true spirit of the season is service. Thank you for helping our seniors feel seen, supported, and celebrated this Christmas.

✨ Meals on Wheels Sacramento is honored to share a recent highlight from Governor Gavin Newsom, First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom , and their family. ✨
This Thanksgiving, the first family of California recognizes the essential role that senior nutrition programs play in keeping older adults healthy, independent, and connected to their communities. We’re grateful for their acknowledgment of the challenges many seniors face—especially food insecurity, isolation, and the rising cost of living—and for shining a light on programs like ours that provide more than just a meal.
Every meal is a lifeline: nutrition, safety checks, and human connection.
With state leaders elevating this work, we remain committed to reaching more seniors who need us most.
💛 Help us deliver hope and nourishment across Sacramento.

On the road with the Sacramento Sheriff’s POP Team! 🚓🍽️
Meals on Wheels recently joined the Problem-Oriented Policing (POP) Team for a special ride-along — continuing an incredible partnership that began over a year ago thanks to Sheriff Cooper and Undersheriff Zeigler.
Together, we’re reaching seniors who need a little extra support, delivering more than just meals — we’re delivering care, safety, and community connection. 💛
