It is odd that so many people are considering moving, considering they will take their voting habits with them. They’re voting preferences will just wreck the next place they choose to move to.  All they need to really do is stop voting for more of the same.

Here in Los Angeles people definitely did not vote for change in the primaries. and now we are stuck with somebody who will keep us on the exact same path to the bottom  or her opponent who will just take a detour and fast track us straight into the ground in a nosedive.

This is a great article. I could not help but notice. that it quite plainly states that the biggest problem is rules and regulations.

Imagine if the average Californian who owns their own house and has the room to do so could add one of these, which would add to the housing supply and would ultimately lead to lower prices and more affordable for people. While at the same time allowing the homeowner to earn money with the property that they already own and bring up their standard of living.

Progressives in charge of California in all of their infinite wisdom wanna force you to get rid of your appliances that run on natural gas and would have you move into appliances that use electricity. Yet all it takes is a little bit of hot weather for the consumer to be thrust into a higher tier and have their monthly bills skyrocket.

Hayek argues that socialism, communism, and any system of extensive government control over the economy begin with appealing goals of equality, security, and the common good, but the methods required to achieve them lead to the progressive loss of freedom. Comprehensive central planning means the state must decide what is produced, how resources are used, and whose needs come first. Because individuals hold conflicting values and preferences, no democratic process can produce genuine agreement on a single detailed plan, so planners must impose their decisions by force, propaganda, and restrictions on choice. Economic control quickly expands into control over all of life, since the means for every personal goal become subject to official approval. Power concentrates in the hands of a small group, the rule of law gives way to arbitrary authority, and democracy itself is undermined. In the end the system tends to produce totalitarianism in which the worst people rise to the top—those most willing to use coercion and discard moral limits—and ordinary citizens are reduced to instruments of the state rather than free individuals. Both Soviet-style communism and forms of fascism, in Hayek’s view, share these collectivist roots and follow the same path.

Dumbest Gun Law Award goes to California, where you need a background check just to buy a box of am******on. Writing this series about America’s dumbest gun laws is becoming both infuriating and hilarious because it’s almost unbelievable how ridiculous some of these restrictions are. In California, even if you legally own a fi***rm, you generally have to pass another government background check every time you purchase am******on. That’s right. You already own the gun, but California wants to check whether you’re allowed to buy the bullets to put in it. In July 2025, a federal appeals court panel even ruled the requirement unconstitutional, but the restrictions remain in effect while the legal process continues.

At what point do we stop pretending these politicians know what’s best for gun owners? This is government overreach taken to an absolutely ridiculous level. The Second Amendment says “shall not be infringed,” yet California has somehow managed to turn buying a box of am******on into another government permission slip. Laws like these deserve to be mocked openly and loudly, and so do the politicians responsible for passing them. If you’re going to write laws this ridiculous, you shouldn’t be surprised when the entire country laughs at you. That’s exactly why I’m handing out Dumbest Gun Law Awards.
