🎓 Connecting with students and supporting their future!

Deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Sacramento Sheriff's Office Youth Services Unit and Sheriff’s Activities League (YSU/SAL) team recently had the opportunity to attend an event hosted by Options For Youth Public Charter Schools.

Our deputies spent time connecting with students, answering questions, and sharing information about the Sheriff’s Office and opportunities available through the Explorer Program. 🚔 Students were able to stop by our table, meet deputies, and learn more about ways to get involved while enjoying a positive and welcoming environment.

Thank you to Options For Youth for inviting our team and giving us the opportunity to engage with students outside of the traditional classroom setting. 🤝

These conversations help build positive relationships, encourage young people to explore their future, and strengthen connections between our deputies and the youth we serve. đź’™

🎒 Supporting Students, Strengthening Our Community 📚

Today, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Sacramento Sheriff's Office , in partnership with the Sheriff’s Activities League (SAL), delivered backpacks and school supplies to Olive Grove Elementary School Olive Grove Elementary School .

These supplies—generously donated by members of our community—will help ensure students have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

A special thank-you to Walmart for providing a location for our school-supply drive, and to everyone who donated. Your generosity made this possible and will have a meaningful impact on local students.

Together, we are helping our students start the school year prepared and confident! đź’™

Last week SAL/YSU deputies took a group of approximately 120 youth to a Sacramento River Cats baseball game. The kids all got a t-shirt and were treated to a barbecue lunch before the game. This is something we do every year and it’s always a great time!

On Tuesday May 5th, SAL helped to make the final mentor meeting of the school year for the Florin Law Academy mentorship program a little extra special by providing lunch, catered by Weinerschnitzel.
