The streets taught me how to survive. Life taught me consequences. God taught me purpose.

If I get the microphone, I'm passing microphones around. I'm not here to save anybody — people have their own voice. I'm challenging the language, the laws, the systems — asking who they serve.

I learned to read a room before I knew what to call it. Who talked, who walked, who was solid. How to organize a circle, how influence spreads.

I'm not telling anybody else's story — mine is enough. What survival taught me got reassigned: same skills, different mission.

We will be taking over day 3 of Mud Theatre Project’s Resilience Fest at the Logan Arts Center. This assembly is a place for community to come together to celebrate and contribute to the vision of how we collectively build power. Chapters, members, partner organizations, and the general public are all invited to convene and make your voices heard. We’re doing this because our 2027 Policy Platform MUST be informed by what’s most important to directly impacted people! Our first Annual Membership Assembly will be 1pm-3:30pm followed by a Parade To The Polls at 3:30pm, an art build as an accessible alternative to the parade, storytelling exhibitions, and a documentary sneak preview!👀 This is about practicing power, building leadership, and making sure our people have a real voice in the direction of this movement.
