Billy Goat Gruff and hundreds of his friends are back — and so is their appetite! 🐐🌱
As part of the County’s flood prevention efforts, goats are utilized to clear overgrown grass and weeds from creeks and detention basins before the storm season 🌧. Their work helps keep water flowing and reduces street flooding in our communities.
This year, the goats will graze across 8 locations totaling 69 acres — that’s about 17 baseball fields!
It’s a win-win for all: the goats enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet while reducing flood risks for our neighborhoods. 👏👏👏

Heavy winds are on the way! 💨Please take a few minutes to pick up loose trash around your home and neighborhood. Trash left outside can pollute creeks and rivers and harm wildlife 🐟🦆. Let’s work together to keep our community clean and protect our environment.

As you enjoy the sunshine with your furry friends, please remember to pick up after your pet 🐾. Waste left behind can pollute our waterways. 💧
Let’s keep our trails, parks, and waterways clean and healthy for everyone this spring and summer.
