🕊️ We Refuse to Look Away 🕊️
A recent story out of San Antonio revealed what many of us already know: some elders are living in silence, dismissed and neglected behind closed doors.
This isn’t just a local issue—it’s a systemic one. And it’s why I’m inviting collaborators to help design safer, emotionally grounded spaces for our elders.
If you’re a caregiver, social worker, trauma-informed designer, or simply someone who believes in housing dignity, I’d love to hear from you. I’m building a blueprint rooted in stewardship, legacy, and safety—and I know I can’t do it alone.
Let’s co-create something that resists neglect and honors every life lived.

⚠ Community Call to Design the Jenna Hin Scholarship
We're one step closer. Today we submitted our application for 501c3 status which gives us provisional ability to start acting as such. As promised, our first order of business is to discuss Jenna Leah Hin and we need your help!
Henderson, NV & Las Vegas, NV
💫 Today, we invite you into something sacred.
Earlier this year, Henderson, Nevada lost a beautiful soul—Jenna leah “Jenna” Hin, a 17-year-old whose story reminds us how urgent it is to support youth navigating trauma, family conflict, and emotional overwhelm.
In her honor, we’re creating ALEX’s first advocacy scholarship—and we want your help designing it.
💬 What We’re Asking
We’re calling on educators, parents, youth, advocates, and neighbors to help shape:
Who should be eligible?
What should the scholarship topic be? The concept is prevention and learning skills now that could help us later. So, what direction should we take this?
What kind of application feels best suited—essay, video, nomination?
How can this scholarship help prevent future tragedies?
🌱 Why It Matters
This isn’t just a scholarship. It’s a living memorial. It’s a chance to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and offer hope to youth who feel unseen.

In Honor of Jennaleah Hin There are moments when purpose speaks louder than plans, and this is one of them.
Earlier this year, the Henderson community lost a beautiful soul, Jennaleah “Jenna” Hin, whose light touched more than most will ever know. Her passing was a profound reminder of the importance of connection, care, and safe spaces for healing.
I want her family—and anyone who loved her—to know that Jenna’s name will live on with purpose. The first-ever ALEX scholarship will be dedicated in her honor. It’s our way of transforming heartbreak into hope. Her spirit will fuel opportunities for other young people to learn, grow, and feel seen.
We’re still early in our journey at ALEX, navigating systems, overcoming hurdles, and building foundations brick by brick. But this scholarship… it’s the heart of why we started. And it’s happening soon. I promise.
With deep respect, — Dena Pina Founder, ALEX | Advocates for Love, Education & Xperiences

🌱 ALEX Update — Advocates for Love, Education & Xperiences We’re not at the summit yet, but the climb has been beautiful. 🧗♀️💫
This year has stretched us in ways we didn’t expect—legal hurdles, systems to navigate, moments of uncertainty—but with every challenge came deeper clarity. We’ve laid down the bricks for something lasting. Behind the scenes, there’s been late-night planning, thoughtful restructuring, and powerful conversations that reminded us why ALEX exists.
Our mission to uplift lives through love, education, and meaningful experiences is slowly but surely coming to life. 💙 Each referral, each workshop, each collaborative idea is a seed. And the garden is beginning to bloom.
Thank you to everyone who’s held space for this vision, cheered us on, and trusted the process. The best part? We're just getting started.
Here’s to the hope that’s quietly unfolding. Here’s to impact with integrity. Here’s to you, our incredible circle of support.
— Dena
