Funeral services for Dr. Alexander T. Borgeas will occur this Tuesday, March 26 at 10:00am. Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church located at 2219 N. Orchard St. Fresno, CA 93703. Private internment to follow.

Rest in Peace: Alexander Borgeas
It is with the heaviest heart I announce the passing of my father, Dr. Alexander “Ted” Borgeas. At 94 years of age, he amassed a remarkable set of life experiences - hitchhiking across country as a 13 year old, pioneering laser surgery as a podiatrist, and running the Boston marathon while playing the bagpipes. He will be remembered most by his kindness, his unrelenting curiosity, devotion to family, and deep Greek Orthodox faith. Our family will be honoring and celebrating his life with friends and loved ones.
May his memory be eternal.

Attention Mariposa Residents Today Friday, August 12th, from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Lowe’s is participating in relief efforts at New Life Christian Fellowship (5089 Cole Rd., Mariposa, CA 95338). Lowe's will distribute over 200 product-filled tote bags to the affected residents of the homes destroyed in the Oak Fire that have vouchers to attend this community event.
Totes will be packed with cleanup items such as sanitizing wipes, goggles, work gloves, paper towels, bottled water, etc.

Purple Heart Day commemorates the creation of the oldest American military decoration for military merit, the Purple Heart.
Today we honor recipients of the Purple Heart medal who have been wounded or killed while serving in the U.S. military. We thank you for your service and sacrifice made while serving our great nation.
