In just a 12-hour window, South Sacramento Area officers arrested 13 drivers for driving under the influence. That’s one impaired driver every 55 minutes! The math shouldn't look like that.
Before you drive impaired, think about the families, kids, and commuters around you. Your choice affects more than just you. Choose not to drink and drive.
Alongside these arrests, 148 enforcement actions were taken which included 61 citations for primary crash factor violations.

🚨 Speeding got our attention. The DUI got him arrested. Two violations, one ride, and it was not home.
On Sunday June 7th, at approximately 3:50pm our officers stopped this driver for driving at 100 mph. Upon contact, the officers observed signs of impairment. After an investigation, the driver, who had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of nearly three times the legal limit was arrested for DUI.
This summer 🌞 the only thing that should be over the limit is your water intake, not your BAC or speed.

We appreciate the commitment to child passenger safety, but HOV lanes require real human passengers.
Our officers conducted a traffic stop on this vehicle after the driver attempted to use the HOV lane with a doll secured in the child seat.
10/10 for seatbelt safety✅
0/10 for HOV lane logic ❌
Remember, if your passenger(s) cannot blink, breathe, or complain about the AC, they don’t count for the carpool lane.
