CAWL had many successes under Lindsey, including the establishment of the Capitol Women Fellows Scholarships program, with our partner The California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, expanding programs to offer virtual and in-person events and successfully growing our fundraising efforts.

Congratulations CA Women Lead Scholarship Recipients! It was wonderful morning spending it celebrating women Capitol Fellows, their mentors and the Capitol Community.

Each Scholarship recipient recieved $2,500 to help them through their fellowship and on to the next step in their career in government. CA Women Lead and California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls partner on this program to help more women from all backgrounds from throughout the State pursue a career in government and grow women representation in this important arena.

Congrats to the amazing women fellows who will receive our 2024 Scholarship! Thank you and CA Women Lead Board Member for ensuring this important program continues on!

Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan will be hosting a FREE screening of First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s Miss Representation on April 18th at 5:00pm at Walnut Creek Center for Community Arts.

Written and directed by Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Miss Representation exposes how mainstream media and culture contribute to the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America.

Come celebrate former CA Women Lead Board President Mona Pasquil Rogers at the Power of Us event on Monday, April 15 at the California Museum from 5:30-7:30pm.

Mona has been a pillar of leadership and service for our organization and so many others. With her vision and support, we were able to expand our programs and reach.

Hope you can join CA Women Lead, California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls She Shares, California Legislative Women's Caucus, and host Leadership California next Monday to celebrate Mona.
