We are excited to welcome Jensina Rosen back to our Public Health & Human Services team, to lead our Home & Community Based Services Division. This group provides services for about 3,700 residents annually, administering the waiver programs that support people with disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, and for people with aging needs, so they can remain integrated in their communities.

Jensina brings more than 20 years' experience in social work to this role, including a brief time with us once before as Housing and Homeless Program Specialist, where she successfully authored a proposal that generates roughly $2 million in sustainable funding for emergency shelter across St. Louis County each year.

Most recently, she worked for the MN Department of Human Services, serving as Program Integrity Coordinator for the Aging and Disability Services Administration.

We're three and a half weeks until Election Day and today our Auditor's Office held a public accuracy test to ensure our voter tabulation machines are working properly to accurately count ballots.
Thank you to the citizens who joined us to watch the process.
Some facts about election security in Minnesota that you may not know:
-When you vote, it’s on a paper ballot, so there’s always an audit trail.
-All tabulation equipment is off-line, so concerns of hacking are unfounded.
-When polls close, election judges empty the ballot box and print the summary tape, which shows the total number of ballots cast and results for each candidate. These judges verify - the number of signatures on the roster must match the number of ballots cast.

Election Day is Nov. 3, and early voting has already started. Make a plan to vote!
