We want everyone in Franklin County to have a safe and fantastic Independence Day.

Here are a few friendly reminders to keep your celebrations sparkling:

Leave fireworks to the pros: Public displays are the safest (and often the most spectacular!) way to enjoy the show.

Celebrate responsibly: If your plans include adult beverages, please designate a sober driver or arrange for a safe ride home.

Protect your pets: Loud fireworks can be scary for animals. Keep your furry friends indoors in a secure, familiar space.

See something, say something: If you spot a fire, call 911 immediately.

Have a wonderful and safe 4th!
