🧑‍🎨 "I can paint that!"

Here's local art teacher Curtis Lewis explaining what we do during our Painting with REC-Creations program at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center. Come try it for yourself from 1 to 3 p.m. on Nov. 15.

Our next two Youth Archery sessions are Nov. 3 and 18, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds. Cooler weather will make for perfect bow-and-arrow conditions.

🧡 Dresssssssed for the occasion

Happy Wildlife Wednesday from this lightning-fast corn snake (Pantherophis guttatus) slithering out of sight in a St. Augustine backyard. It's got just the right colors for the week leading up to Halloween. Did you know that corn snakes shake their tails when threatened? It's just harder to notice since they lack their distant cousins' rattles.
