KCSO's forklift training classes have taken on a new twist! Four Corrections officers stepped up to be trained as trainers, earning their certification so they are ready to help detainees get qualified. Three classes have been successfully conducted so far, and we are looking forward to more. Thank you, Officers Visor, J. Meza, R. Meza, and Rolfsmeier, for adding on this new assignment and helping others grow, as well! We hope to open classes to the public in the spring. Stay tuned!

Kane County Sheriff’s Office personnel conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 5075 on I‑90 in Gilberts, Illinois. Several individuals were taken into custody at the scene while two additional male subjects fled on foot: one heading northbound and one southbound.

Deputies remain actively searching the area with support from drones, K9 teams, and additional law enforcement resources. There is no immediate threat to the public, but residents and motorists may notice increased police activity.

Please avoid the area if possible and report any suspicious activity to authorities. We are actively working to obtain and release descriptions of the three individuals who fled so the public can stay informed

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
