SCFR B Shift crews are spending the day in our Alan C MacAllaster Fire Training Building with the Orlando Health Air Care Team, training on how to provide critical care to patients using airway or intraosseous access. Having strong muscle memory during high-risk EMS calls can literally be the difference between life and death, which is why we are so appreciative of the training opportunity with our partners.

STATION 32 UPDATE

Yesterday we shared some photos of the construction progress on Station 35, today we have some great shots of our new and improved Station 32!

Station 32 is located on Old Canoe Creek Rd., just north of Clay Whaley Rd. and the current Florida's Turnpike interchange.

From the outside, the station is mostly complete and already features identifying signage. The real work is happening on the inside of the facility: crew quarters, vehicle and equipment storage, and more. This update also features a first look inside the bay.

Thank you to Orlando Health St. Cloud Hospital for the generous donation of pink vehicle wraps for our Rescue 32, as well as one of St. Cloud Police Department’s Community Engagement Team trucks for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Pink October is an annual international campaign to inform communities about breast cancer (which also affects men), emphasize the importance of early detection, and provide support for patients and their families.

If you see these amazing trucks around the City of St. Cloud, be sure to give them a wave in support!

What a great recognition! Congratulations.

Please join us in congratulating St. Cloud Fire Rescue Firefighter Michael A. Rozo, who was recognized at tonight's City Council meeting after being selected as September's Employee of the Month. During a call where a child was injured and required helicopter transport to an area hospital, the child's father arrived on scene but was unable to fly with the child because he wasn't wearing a shirt. Without hesitation, Michael grabbed an extra shirt of his own and gave it to the father so he could accompany his child to the hospital in the helicopter. Congratulations, Michael, and thank you for caring so well for the community!

Drive safe out there.

Drive safe out there.

The US National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for most of Central Florida, including the City of St. Cloud, due to continued rainfall. A flood watch means there is a chance conditions could be favorable for local flooding, not that flooding exists already or is certain to happen.

This watch is expected to last until 11 p.m. tonight, and hazards may include ponding and water buildup on roads which could make driving unsafe.

Please continue to monitor the news for weather updates, and report safety concerns to https://stcloudfl.citysourced.com/servicerequests/create
