🎭 Community Education presents: Theater Workshops with Maddie Athearn. 🎭
Maddie is a phenomenal actor who will perform in It's a Wonderful Life at the Festival Theatre this December. We are thrilled to have her available to teach students in grades 7-12 in the St. Croix Valley through St. Croix Fall Community Education.
We highly recommend that students take full advantage of this unique opportunity to work with Maddie!
Maddie will be facilitating 6 weeks of Theater Workshop Classes for students in grades 7-12 from local schools and homeschool students.
Workshops are tentatively scheduled from November 2nd through December 8th, but we'll set the specific workshop dates at the first class based on student availability.
In just six weeks, students will have the opportunity to grow as actors and a true ensemble! Through acting methods, improvisation, musical theatre song and scene study, students will build practical performance skills while gaining confidence, exploring their individual strengths, and learning how to create alongside one another.
The first three weeks will focus on individual growth through hands-on workshops designed to strengthen each student’s skills as a performer and creative artist. We’ll play, experiment, take risks, and discover new ways to approach the stage.
Then, it’s time to put it all into action! During the final three weeks, students will bring their skills together to create, rehearse, and perform their own show. They’ll experience the collaborative process of making theatre—from the first creative ideas to opening night.
It’s six weeks of learning, creating, playing, and discovering what we can make together. Whether your student is a seasoned performer or stepping onto the stage for the first time, we have a place for them.
We are excited to welcome Maddie to St. Croix Falls! Register today! Go to the school website to register or scan the QR Code.
