This is the official page of St. Francis Area Schools (Independent School District 15), St. Francis, Minn., K-12 public school district. St. Paul.

View the district's social media guidelines at www.isd15.org/communications. Francis Area Schools is nestled in the woods and fields of northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. This oasis of fresh air, water and livable space focuses on a quality of life that the residents feel is second to none, yet it is a mere 40 minutes from downtown Minneapolis and St. The school district is supported by a population of more than 26,000 that covers over 165 square miles and annually educates nearly 5,000 students and employs nearly over 800 people. The eight municipalities encompassed within the district include the cities of St. Francis, Bethel, East Bethel, Oak Grove, portions of Andover and Nowthen, as well as portions of Athens, and Stanford townships. The school system and surrounding communities enthusiastically support the schools and programs in their quest to challenge, explore, and guide students of all ages on a learning journey. The district has three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), one high school (9-12), an early childhood center and alternative and online learning options.

🗳️ What's on the ballot: Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3! Learn more about the constitutional amendment related to the Permanent School Fund that will be on the ballot.
• The amendment, if approved, doesn’t change how the fund works, increases revenue to schools and does not raise taxes.
• St. Francis Area Schools would receive approximately $130,000 annually to fund school operations.
• Not voting on the question is counted the same as a “no” vote.

This fall Minnesotans have the opportunity to vote to update our state’s constitution to pass an amendment to improve how Minnesota’s Permanent School Fund supports students, schools, and communities.

🏃✈️ St. Francis High School hosted the MSHSL Section 5AA Girls and Boys Cross Country Championships at The Ponds Golf Course yesterday, which included a flyover before the meet by two WWII-era AT-6 Texans!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️Anniston Rolf paced the girls team and placed second. For the boys squad, Ryder Mold was second and Kyle Swanson was sixth to help the Saints finish third as a team.

🏈📘 Last stop on the St. Francis High School Football team's reading tour was Cedar Creek Elementary School! Students, staff and admin enjoyed the visit from the Saints Football team!

🎉 The St. Francis High School Media Team was recognized in two Best of Show categories at the Minnesota High School Press Association Fall Journalism Convention at the University of Minnesota.

🎥 In the Broadcast News Program category, the student-run SFHS Today placed third. SFHS Today produces a weekly show during the school year and is played by teachers in the classroom. The program has placed in the top three at the convention for the last four years.

💻 The website, www.thesfhscrier.com, placed sixth in the Website category.

🪖 Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 8:46-9:46 a.m. at St. Francis High School. The guest speaker is CMSGT Richard A. Lien, Jr., retired Air Force.

🫡 Wednesday, Nov. 11 from 8-8:45 a.m. at St. Francis Middle School. The guest speaker is Maj. Nathan Burr, retired Minnesota Army National Guard.

🚌🙌🥎🏆 The St. Francis Area Schools Transportation Department's trailer has a new look that celebrates the 2026 Class AAA State Softball Champions! This week, members of the SFHS Softball program had the opportunity to check out the new wrapped trailer and pose for a photo.

🏠➡️🏫 A joint effort between St. Francis Area Schools Early Childhood and SFAS elementary staff brings a new resource for families: School Readiness. The primary objective of the School Readiness series is to improve the experience for students entering preschool and kindergarten by providing families with "Did You Know" facts and actionable "at-home" activities.

💻 A website has been created for families to view the resources - www.isd15.org/schoolreadiness

📰 And a monthly newsletter has been created to delivery the resource straight to families' inbox. Families can subscribe to the newsletter by going to the website.
