Last week our 5th grade students celebrated National Native American Day! Students explored Native American culture by creating model teepee shelters and trying herbal teas. This activity helped students to understand and appreciate the creativity and resourcefulness of Native Americans. They also discussed myths and folktales in alignment to their ELA module! A tasty lesson they are sure to remember! 🍫☕️

Our first graders recently visited the West Feliciana Library! They learned all about the programs available and what is offered at the library, as well as how to get their very own library card! Playing on the library playground made the trip even better! 📚
