🚑 NEW EPISODE: Burnout and What Comes Next

Burnout in EMS is more than having a rough shift or simply being tired. And addressing it requires more than telling clinicians to “take care of themselves.”
In Episode 3 of The Louisiana EMS Exchange, we take a practical look at burnout in EMS leadership and the workforce:
• What burnout actually is—and what it isn’t
• How burnout differs from fatigue and mental-health conditions
• Why rural EMS agencies face unique pressures
• What clinicians and peers can do when they recognize the warning signs
• How supervisors and EMS leaders can build healthier, more sustainable organizations

Burnout affects our people, our agencies, and ultimately the communities we serve.

The conversation has to move beyond recognizing the problem to asking a more important question:

What do we do next?
