🇺🇸 HONORING 9/11 — AND THOSE WHO ANSWER THE CALL

A little late in sharing, but a moment worth remembering. ❤️🤍💙

On September 11, Gary and Harold represented Fripp Island Sea Rescue at Beaufort’s 9/11 Tribute to First Responders, joining our friends and fellow first responders from GG, Beaufort Water Search & Rescue (BWSAR), DNR and local law enforcement to provide a first-responder presence on the water.

🚤 Rescue 1 was trailered to Beaufort and launched from Whitehall Boat Landing. The crew took position on the water to join the tribute as a procession of police and fire department vehicles crossed the bridge around 8:00 PM and made its way toward the Beaufort waterfront.

And Mother Nature certainly made her presence known.

⛈️ A steady downpour and an impressive lightning show provided a dramatic backdrop as our first-responder community came together to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, honor the heroes who responded that day, and recognize those who continue to answer the call today.

Rain or shine, it was an honor for FISR to be there.

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

🚁🚤 A great example of teamwork on the water!

We’re always glad to see our fellow first responders and friends at the U.S. Coast Guard doing what they do best — answering the call and getting people safely home.

Fripp Island Sea Rescue is proud to work alongside the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard Southeast who help keep our local waters safe. Great work by everyone involved in this successful rescue! 👏

From one crew on the water to another — thank you for always being ready. 💙⚓

💙 THANK YOU, FRIPP! 💙

The bidding is closed, and once again, our community showed up for Fripp Island Sea Rescue !🚤

To everyone who donated an item, placed a bid, shared our posts, told a friend, or helped make our 6th Annual Online Auction possible — THANK YOU!

Every item donated and every bid placed helps give our volunteers the resources they need to train, maintain our rescue boats, purchase equipment, fuel the boat and remain ready when someone on the water needs help.

And as we shared during the auction, you never know when that call will come. It might be in the middle of the afternoon—or at 11:00 at night after a meteor shower. 🌠

Our volunteers give their time. Your support helps give them the tools to do the job.

We are especially grateful to the businesses, local artists, property owners, community partners and individuals who generously donated the incredible items and experiences that made this auction possible.

And to everyone who bid…

🔨 **We hope you won something you love!**

From all of us at Fripp Island Sea Rescue, thank you for believing in what we do and helping us continue to be there when our community needs us.

💙 THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE VOLUNTEERS BEHIND “911 ON THE WATER.”🚤

🌠 MIDNIGHT METEOR SHOWER- FISR RESPONDED!!!!

What started as a beautiful night on the water ended with an unexpected call for help. Two women launched their boat from the public ramp at Station Creek to spend the evening watching a meteor shower. Around 11:00 PM, they were ready to head home—but their engine wouldn't start. It was dark. It was late. And they needed help. 🚤 FISR responded.

Our volunteer crew located the boat and safely towed the boat back to the Station Creek ramp.

Sometimes a Sea Rescue mission is dramatic. Sometimes it's simply being there when someone needs help getting home safely.

That's what your support of the FISR Online Auction makes possible. Our volunteers give their time—but keeping rescue boats fueled, maintained, equipped and ready to respond takes resources.

🔨 The auction ends **Monday, September 7 at 8:00 PM.**

So when you place a bid, remember what you're really bidding for:

💙 **The ability to answer the next call for help.**

**BID. SUPPORT. HELP KEEP FISR READY.**
