We are official open on Wednesdays again! We look forward to seeing you this Wednesday!

09/21/2026

📣 Starting September 30, we are back open on Wednesdays!

St. Helens Public Library is restoring regular Wednesday hours effective Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The Wednesday closures were the result of full-time Library staff being furloughed by 10% as part of City of St. Helens budget cuts for the 2026/27 Fiscal Year and the loss of three part-time library assistants.

The Library has been able to hire and train three new part-time library assistants to fill the vacant positions, which has allowed a day of library hours to be restored.

The Library will remain closed on Thursdays for the time being.

Beginning Wednesday, September 30, the St. Helens Public Library’s open hours are as follows:

Monday – Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

The Library is located in the Columbia Center at 375 S. 18th Street, St. Helens, OR 97051.

Reschedule Adults and Crafts event!

We were unable to hold the September Adults and Crafts event, so that means you have another opportunity to attend the rescheduled Cardboard Heart Weaving event in October.

Join us on Tuesday, October 13 from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for a rescheduled Adults and Crafts weaving program!

A large supply of different yarn will be available for you to experiment with as you learn basic weaving techniques. Explore fun color and texture combinations while you create a small piece of art to take home.

This program is for adults ages 18 and up.
