The St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon is just over a week away! Did you know they also offer 5K and 10K options? If you don't feel like running, you can also volunteer and cheer on the participants. Let's get out there and support St. Joe!

The St. Joseph, Missouri Marathon will be held next Saturday, September 26. The race will take runners along most of Parkway System and through the downtown area. This means several roads throughout the city will be impacted and could cause some minor delays if you live along or near the course. Please be mindful of the police officers and volunteers helping direct traffic in order to keep the participants safe. Over ten weeks, we had 140 walkers who checked in 641 times for approximately 1,366 miles! What a season! Thank you to everyone to walked, ran, or biked with us. We look forward to seeing you again next year! Until then, there are many locations for walking including an indoor track at The St. Joseph REC Center and countless miles or urban trails.

Tomorrow begins our final week of St. Joe FIT!
Week 10 ➡️ Riverwalk but our in-person walk will meet at River Bluff Trails Park (4101 Huntoon Drive)
PARK ➡️ at the Re*****on Nature Center parking lot
START ➡️ at the sidewalk that runs parallel to the river close to the nature center. The QR code to check in is located on the walking bridge. Some cell networks do not work here - you can message us to check in.
TURNAROUND POINTS
Beginner 🔹 when you reach the first bench 🔹 there and back: .5 miles
Intermediate 🔸 On a bench at a split in the sidewalk where you can keep going on the trail or walk to see the river 🔸 there and back: 1.58 miles
Challenge ◾️ After you cross the bridge near the I-229 overpass ◾️ there and back: 2.35 miles
Remember, if you can't find the QR code or it doesn't work for you, please message us, and we will get you checked in! You ALL are doing great! Finish the season strong!

Please note this is different than originally scheduled due to the ongoing construction at Krug Park. Read the instructions below carefully.

PARK ➡️ at the parking lot located off South 36th Street just south of Hillyard Tech
START ➡️ at the trail beginning at the southwest end of the parking lot - There are NO QR CODES here. You will need to email or message us to check in.
TURNAROUND POINTS
Beginner 🔹 there and back: .5 miles
Intermediate 🔸 there and back: 1 mile
Challenge ◾️ there and back: 1.5 miles
Remember, you will need to MESSAGE us to sign-in this week or email [email protected].
There are also other trails throughout the conservation area that we encourage you explore!
