STEP--St. Louis Park Emergency Program STEP responds to our neighbors in need by providing access to vital services that foster stability. STEP provides the following services:

1.

Food Shelf: provides the most nutritious and culturally-appropriate food available to clients 1-2 times monthly.

2. Clothes Closet: provides no-cost gently used or new clothing.

3. Emergency Financial Assistance (Homelessness Prevention): provides help with housing expenses based upon assessment by STEP's social workers.

4. Transportation: provides rides to medical and food shelf appointments

5. Seasonal Support: provides gift and food support for holidays, back to school, birthdays.

6. Crisis Support and Referral Services: clients can meet with STEP social workers to identify how other needs can be met and talk through issues affecting their lives.

The weekly Mini Market is today, Tuesday, 1:00-3:00. Anyone is welcome to drop in and grab fresh produce, basic staples, milk and bread. Plus this week's specials: choice of meat (hot dogs or turkey sausage), egss, bell peppers and hot peppers!
Please note, no bread today.

Meet Tater the Turkey, our official Fall Matching Campaign mascot and resident hide-and-seek champion.

Starting TODAY, we're kicking off our annual Fall Matching Campaign, and Tater is celebrating with a game of hide-and-seek around STEP! We'll be sharing his hiding spots along the way. His first stop is in the food shelf, where the cereal is always in high demand.

When you donate now through Give to the Max Day on November 19, every gift to STEP will be matched dollar for dollar until we meet our match.

STEP needs additional volunteers for the upcoming holiday season!
We have a wide spectrum of volunteer openings, so there's probably a great fit for you. We need:
• Speedy grocery order packers
• Master organizers and restockers for the Food Shelf
• Produce experts, like chefs or gardeners
• Clothing extraordinaries, like thrift shoppers
• And more!
Volunteer roles will depend on your availability and our current scheduling needs, but we’d love to find a spot that works for you.
