On Saturday, October 17th, Chief Oswald and Sgt. Taylor were giving out SMYLE's as youth stopped in at the St. Michaels Community Center for a Pumpkin and Face Painting event. All thirty-nine pumpkins were painted, and children were able to then take them home. Nathaly from Passionballoons painted several faces with fall themes too! This annual partnership with the community center is in conjunction with the Pumpkin Baking Contest. Chief Oswald was one of three judges who had the incredible task of tasting all of the delicious baked goods. Which creative pumpkin dessert was the winner? Follow St. Michaels Community Center to find out!

Thanks for supporting our community outreach!
Have a safe and fun fall season!

During an emergency, every second counts. Having a File of Life gives medical information to first responders when patients are unable to. Today, Officer Brown, accompanied by Chief Oswald, Officer Fritz and Admin Assistant Tiffany Sweeney, led a Lunch and Conversation with the residents of Hambleton Village.

Officer Brown brought awareness to the residents and explained how the File of Life form can benefit everyone and help save lives. How much a person decides to complete on the form is their choice. This form allows a person to list their medications, special medical conditions, emergency contact, doctors, and even their pharmacy.

After a delicious catered lunch from Sams Pizza Restaurant , it was time for the raffle drawings, and we think everyone was happy with their wins! See photos. 😃

On Wednesday, July 8th, Patrolman Erin Brown was sworn in by St. Michaels Commissioner, Jay Hudson. Officer Brown comes to us with fourteen years of prior experience in public service. After earning her Police Certification from Anne Arundel Community College Law Enforcement Academy, she served as a police officer with Morningside Police Department. When Officer Brown is not working, she spends her spare time riding and caring for her three horses.

We once again want to welcome Officer Brown and are confident that she will provide valuable support to our citizens and our dedicated police force. So, when you see her out on patrol, please don't hesitate to introduce yourself and welcome Officer Brown to the St. Michaels community.
