Mark your calendars, because Give to the Max Day is coming up on Thursday, November 19! This statewide day of giving brings Minnesotans together to support the causes they care about, and Emma Norton Services is proud to take part.

Gifts of every size help us provide housing, healing, and supportive services for individuals and families across the Twin Cities. For example, $25 can cover cleaning supplies, $100 can fund a monthly kids’ birthday party, and $2,500 can help move a family into an apartment. We’ll be sharing more as the day gets closer!

Thank you to the volunteers from Lifetime - Highland Park for coming to Restoring Waters yesterday to lead a yoga class and sort coats and winter gear! The class was a great experience for our residents, and the sorting was a huge help!

Earlier in September our Advancement Director Shawna had the pleasure of attending the New Strategies Forum at Georgetown University, a conference bringing together 50 nonprofit leaders from throughout the country to dive into expert content and shared learning around fundraising strategies and partnership building to strengthen the nonprofit sector. Thank you New Strategies for putting on this event, and Target Foundation for sponsoring our attendance!

Last week our Clinical Director Lauren and Peer Support Supervisor Amy presented on the Living Room model at the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless Annual Conference in Duluth! It was a great opportunity to connect with providers and spread the word about this resource that anyone over the age 18 in Minnesota can use.
