We ended where we began: on the land. 🌱

Last Friday marked our final Pathways to Well-Being session. The youth returned to the fields to work side by side, harvest what was ready, and see what the growing season had made possible.

Throughout the program, they explored how land, wellness, food, entrepreneurship, and community shape one another. They learned through direct experience, tending crops, learning about bees and native plants, tasting and sharing food, creating together, and bringing their own questions, knowledge, and ideas to every session.

Ending in the fields brought the program full circle. The youth learned from the land, from growers, and from one another.

Thank you to every young person who showed up with curiosity and energy, and to the staff, growers, and community partners who shared their time and knowledge along the way.

Pathways to Well-Being was made possible through funding from Youthprise . 💚

Yesterday, through the BUILD Initiative, leaders from Minnesota state agencies and the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet visited Frogtown Farm to learn about our history, mission, programs, and role in the community. 🌱

Guests walked the Farm and learned firsthand about our Grower Incubator Program. After the tour, we continued the conversation over a vibrant meal catered by 🧿 𝕮𝖊𝖑𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖊 🧿, our Programming Manager and a farmer in the program. The spread featured fresh fruit from the Farm’s orchard.

The visit was a gentle reminder that a shared meal can welcome people to the table, but the land and its growers show us what is at stake.

Thank you to everyone who spent the morning learning and sharing with us. We are grateful for every opportunity to welcome people to Frogtown Farm and bring them closer to the work happening here. 💚

This morning, we welcomed the HEAL Food Alliance team to Frogtown Farm for a site visit rooted in learning, connection, and shared work. 🌱

We began with a walk across the land and a conversation about the Farm’s history, the people who have shaped it, and the work happening here today. Then the team rolled up their sleeves and helped clear and care for the growing space around one of our high tunnels.

Food justice grows through relationships like these. When people exchange knowledge, lend their hands, and make time to understand one another’s work, our wider food movement grows stronger.

Thank you to HEAL Food Alliance for spending part of your staff retreat with us and to MW Farmers of Color Collective for making the connection.

We are grateful for the work you shared and the conversations begun. We look forward to continuing to grow and build together. 💚

Saturday, we celebrated ten growing seasons of abundance rooted in the land and carried by community. 💚

Those seasons have grown far more than food. They have taught us that abundance begins with the land, but it does not end there. It creates space for community growers to work the soil, young people to learn and create, fresh food to reach our neighbors, and people to gather, share knowledge, and care for this place together.

At Harvest Fest, that abundance moved through many hands. Food from the fields became a shared meal and an invitation to explore, taste, and learn. Flowers became fresh bouquets, produce went home with neighbors, and art and connection grew alongside the harvest.

The harvest also found new life in Flavors of Frogtown, Volume 1 and our first Farm tea blend, carrying recipes, herbs, stories, and knowledge into our kitchens, cups, and homes.

As we mark this milestone, we honor the founders whose vision laid the foundation and the growers, young people, staff, board members, volunteers, donors, funders, partners, and neighbors whose care continues to carry Frogtown Farm forward.

We were honored to welcome Saint Paul Mayor Kaohly Her. Special thanks to Black Hearts Matter for sharing community wellness and heart health activities, and to Pajai Arrangement for creating the beautiful cake.

To everyone who joined us Saturday or supported the Farm along the way, thank you. You are helping shape what grows here next.

This is the abundance we have grown together. 🌱

This Saturday, the harvest comes to the table. 🌱

Harvest Fest is a chance to slow down, taste what this growing season has produced, and celebrate the people whose hands and care helped make it possible.

Come enjoy smoked butternut squash soup and cornbread, followed by a cooking demonstration and tasting featuring produce grown at the Farm. Take home fresh produce from our giveaway, create art inspired by the land, and join a plant walk or farm tour.

The celebration will also offer a first look at two new additions from Frogtown Farm: our cookbook, Flavors of Frogtown, Volume 1, and our first Farm tea blend. Both carry pieces of the growing season beyond the fields and into our kitchens, cups, and homes. The cookbook and tea blend will be available for purchase at Harvest Fest.

As we celebrate ten growing seasons, we are honoring the growers, young people, staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and neighbors who have shaped Frogtown Farm.

Whether you have been part of the Farm for years or Saturday will be your first visit, there is a place for you in this celebration. 💚

Yesterday, our Pathways to Well-Being youth joined Indigenous Roots at the East Side Farmers Market for an afternoon of music, dancing, good food, tea tasting, and time together in community. 💚

They helped welcome neighbors to the Frogtown Farm table and shared a first taste of the tea blends we have been developing this season using herbs grown and gathered from the Farm. It was a small preview of something new taking shape from the land.

For our youth, the day was another opportunity to carry what they have been learning and growing at Frogtown Farm out into community.

Thank you to Indigenous Roots and the East Side Farmers Market for welcoming us and creating such a joyful space for our youth and neighbors to gather.

Join us for Harvest Fest this Saturday, September 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come taste the Farm tea, purchase a blend to take home, share food, enjoy the land, and celebrate ten growing seasons with us. 🌱

Harvest Fest is free, and no RSVP is required.
