Women Winning We’ve endorsed and elected thousands of candidates, tripling the number of pro-choice women holding elected office in Minnesota.

Changing the face of power by activating pro-choice campaigns, candidates, and elected officials committed to reproductive health, rights and justice working to protect the safety, dignity and bodily autonomy of Minnesotans 2018 marked the beginning of a new era of pro-choice women’s leadership, but in both Minnesota and Washington D.C., women are still significantly underrepresented at the tables of power. With emboldened threats to reproductive rights at all levels of government, it is more important than ever that pro-choice women run for -- and win -- elected office. Since 1982, Women Winning has been building a coalition of people of all backgrounds, gender identities, and political affiliations united in our mission to recruit, train, and elect pro-choice women to all levels of public office -- from park board to President of the United States. Pro-choice women continue to step up to run for office and Women Winning will be with them at every step on the campaign trail in 2019, 2020, and beyond.

Happy Boss’s Day! Today, we’re celebrating the women leaders who lead with courage, listen to their communities, and make space for others to step into leadership.

Leadership isn’t just about holding a title. It’s about showing up for others, building community, and opening doors for those who come next.

The work we do at Women Winning wouldn’t be possible without the leadership of Nevada Littlewolf. Team Women Winning is forever so appreciative of the passion you have always poured into your work. ❤️

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This month, we’re taking a moment to recognize the people and families impacted by breast cancer and honor those who continue to advocate for better access to care, early detection, and support for every person affected.

Breast cancer awareness is about more than wearing pink. It’s about making sure everyone has the resources, care, and support they need.

Today, we honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day by recognizing the history, cultures, leadership, and sovereignty of Indigenous peoples, including the Dakota and Anishinaabe people whose homelands are here in Minnesota.

Minnesota is home to 11 federally recognized Tribal Nations, each with its own government, history, and sovereign political status. Recognizing Indigenous peoples means honoring not only their cultures and contributions, but also their inherent sovereignty and right to self-governance

We celebrate the Native women leaders who have shaped and continue to strengthen our communities, including those working to advance reproductive freedom and ensure Indigenous voices are represented in the decisions that affect their lives and futures.

Remember, we are all on Native Land. Today and every day, we honor Indigenous voices, leadership, and sovereignty.
