⏰🍂 Don't Forget to Fall Back! 🍂⏰
It's that time of year again! Daylight Saving Time ends this Sunday, November 1st, so remember to turn your clocks BACK one hour before going to bed Saturday night! 🕰️
That means an extra hour of sleep for many of us! 😴💙 It's also a great time to check your smoke detector batteries, reset your clocks, and take a moment to prepare for the changing season.

💙 Neighbors Helping Neighbors — Connecting Our Seniors to Care! 💙

A big THANK YOU to Empath Health for joining VOA-FLDC’s Adopt-A-Block program and connecting with seniors in our community! 🏡❤️

During the visit, Michele shared valuable information about Empath Health’s PACE program, helping our seniors learn that support is available to help them remain independent and continue living safely in their own homes.

Through the PACE program, eligible seniors can receive assistance with doctor’s appointments, medications, therapy, and other healthcare needs. Participants can also enjoy social connections and activities at Empath’s activity center, providing a wonderful opportunity to get out of the house, stay engaged, and build relationships with others! 🩺🤝

💙 Community Care in Action! 💙

A big THANK YOU to BayCare for visiting VOA-FLDC and taking the time to care for our community! 🩺💙

During their visit, BayCare helped educate our clients on the warning signs of a stroke, what to do if they suspect someone may be having a stroke, and how to recognize potential risk factors. They also provided blood pressure screenings and shared valuable information about BayCare’s services and resources available to help our clients take charge of their health.

Knowledge is power, and having access to health education and preventive screenings can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors! ❤️

We loved joining our community for PAL-O-Ween! 🧡🖤 What a fantastic turnout filled with fun, smiles, and so many adorable costumes! Seeing all the kids dressed up and enjoying the festivities made the event extra special. 🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️🧛‍♀️

💙 Raynaldo’s Story: From Struggling to Finding Hope 💙

When Raynaldo came to the Florida Dream Center, he was struggling and had lost hope. FLDC was there to provide more than food and clothing—we connected him with an opportunity to earn his forklift certification, giving him a path toward a brighter future.

Raynaldo shared that the Dream Center gave him hope when he needed it most. Through the kindness and support of our community, he discovered something powerful: he wasn’t alone.

Today, Raynaldo says he is a different person through Christ and feels called to give back to the same community that showed him compassion. His experience has inspired him to care for others who may be struggling with homelessness or addiction.

His story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes, one helping hand can be the beginning of a whole new chapter. 🙏💙
