Our National Principals Month spotlights continue with Shonda Honor-Harris, Principal of St. Rose Elementary School! 🏫
As we celebrate this month's 7 Mindsets theme, Passion First, we're highlighting what inspired our principals to pursue education and what continues to motivate them today. In Her Own Words:
"My passion for education was sparked by the strong foundation my parents and family built at home and the standard of excellence I experienced in SCPPS. Growing up in a supportive household where my parents gave me their absolute best showed me firsthand how transformational high expectations and unwavering support can be.
What keeps that passion burning daily as a principal is a simple, human truth: every single student, teacher, and family deserves to feel seen, appreciated, and important. Education is my way of serving others—paying forward the incredible foundation I was given by ensuring our school is a place where excellence meets empathy, and where everyone knows they truly belong."
