The Army has released implementation guidance for how chaplains will remove rank and wear their branch insignia on duty uniforms.

Today, the U.S. Army released implementation guidance for the Army Chaplains Corps uniform and maternity tunic emphasizing their role as religious leaders and pastoral care providers across the force.

Everett Alvarez, Jr. spent more eight and a half years in captivity during the Vietnam War. He emphasizes mental strength, faith in God, and belief in America that helped him overcome extreme harship and torture during his captivity. He was was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal on December 23, 2024, in recognition of his distinguished service and sacrifices during the Vietnam War. See a link to an article in the comments.

Our Main Effort for the ORNG is People and Culture—in the Chaplain Corps, caring for souls and caring for the soul of the ORNG is who we are and what we do!
