History Course- Great Rock and Roll.
Relive those years through music that mirrored our experiences, dreams, and heartbreaks. 1950s songs like “To Know Him is to Love Him” reflect the innocence of the time, while raucous sixties songs like “Wild Weekend” revive memories of the more rebellious among us. Our generation, who sang “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”, soon found ourselves in the mayhem of the Vietnam War, with songs like “We Got to Get Out of this Place” becoming emblematic for those who served. Fifty-one videos of the original groups, plus information about the artists and songs, create an emotional journey through time.

Though not all our Canine Corps Teams were available to attend our Fall Gathering, we want to send them all a huge appreciation for all they do for Center 50+ and the local senior community. They are spreading smiles and calm to all those they meet. Thank you!

Brain Camp took us to Puget Island Gardens. What an amazing day. We did pumpkin decorating, had special music, enjoyed the lovely property, venue, and garden store. What a super time. If you are ever looking for a delightful experience just take the Westport Ferry to Cathlamet. One of the most friendly communities we have ever visited- made us feel so welcome. Learning is so good for our brains!

Attention spontaneous travelers! We have one opening for Brain Camp that leaves tomorrow( Oct 11th). We have two cancellations due to illness. We hate to leave those spots empty when this trip fills up so fast. This is a three day, two night trip. Includes: motel room, three meals, entry into all tours and events, Brain classes, hikes, under ground city tour, ferry ride, crafting, eating and laughing! This year we will be tromping around Astoria, Long Beach, and Ilwaco. Just $600 and includes transportation, lodging and a whole lot more! If interested and you are spontaneous! Private message us here and plan on being at Center 50+ at 7am Sunday (yes tomorrow) morning with comfy shoes, sweatshirts, rain coat, money for a few lunches and a few dinners, fun money for shopping at the garden center, Historic Creamery, and the lively beach towns of Ilwaco and Long Beach Washington. Just say I’m interested and we can work out the details. We return Tuesday evening by 6pm. First come first served-
