Voting has officially begun for our Book-O-Lantern competition, so please be sure to stop by and take a look at all of the amazing submissions this year! All voting will be done in house this year.

Winners will be chosen from 4 different categories:
- 5-8 years old
- 9-13 years old
- 14-18 years old
- 19 years old and above

Voting will occur from October 19th through October 29th. Votes may be placed at the display within the library. Winners will be determined by the total votes.

Did you know your public library has mobility aids available for circulation?

There are a pair of adult crutches, one youth pair, and a folding walker. All of these items are adjustable. They may be easily checked out with a library card.

This is one of the many ways that Salem Public Library goes beyond books to serve our community.

Planning a party? Feel like firing up the oven now that temperature has dropped?

Check out a cake pan at the library!

You read that right. There are six different cake pans available to borrow with your library card: a Jack-o’-lantern; baby carriage; daisy; tiered flowers; lady bug; and monkey.

🎃 Salem Public Library is excited to be included again this year in the community's Trunk-or-Treat on 4th Street. Although, we've stocked up on treats, donations are also welcome.

🍬 We will gratefully accept unopened packages of individually wrapped candy. A box for donations is located just inside the library's entrance, near the juvenile stacks.

Thank you for helping to create a fun and safe Halloween for our community's children!
