Thank you to Tracey from CART and our Assistant Town Planner, Crayton for visiting the Senior Center today. Our seniors were able tour the inside of the van and try out the lift. CART provides an on-demand service, Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Salem residents can request a ride to anywhere in Salem, Derry, Londonderry, Chester, or Hampstead for $2 each way. CART also has a Salem Shopper Shuttle which runs, each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. For more information visit - https://salemnh.gov/cart

The Golden Eagles senior golf league wrapped up its 2026 season with its 22nd annual tournament at the Atkinson Country Club on September 22. The closing tournament brought 72 golfers to the course for two sh***un starts at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Each start included nine four-player teams. After play, league coordinator and tournament leader Phil Mothon presented seasonal statistics and awards for both divisions.

WOW...WHAT A DAY! On Thursday 9/17 we traveled to Danversport Yacht Club for the Solid Gold Saturday Night remember the 50's & 60's! This show featured The Corvettes Doo W*p Revue, Tribute to The Drifters & Tribute to The Platters. Such an amazing day!

Our annual Health Fair & Vaccine Clinic is Wednesday, September 23. Hannaford Pharmacy will be at the Senior Center from 9:30 am -12:30 pm offering Flu, Covid, Pneumonia and RSV vaccines. The annual Volunteer Luncheon was held today at LaBelle Winery in Derry, NH. We celebrated the heart and soul of our center...our wonderful volunteers! Our programs & events would not be possible without each one of them. Maria and Jill gave speeches thanking this group that gives so much to the center. Maria awarded years of service pins and Jill passed out the pins along with many hugs. We would also like to thank the Council on Aging for sponsoring an ice-cream bar and a magic show. From all of staff at the center we truly appreciate everything these volunteers give everyday... THANK YOU!!!

So.....what's going on at the center today??? A hot air balloon ride! Jacob from 603 Balloon Rides and his crew put on a fabulous ride for us today! 15 of us got to enjoy an educational presentation by Jacob and then tethered balloon rides. Such a fun morning!

This week we headed out to Boston again but this time for the Boston Harbour Bingo Cruise! This was a new trip for us this year! The ship did NOT disappoint! We enjoyed a huge buffet of Salmon, Chicken, pasta, salad, roasted potatoes, bread, roasted vegetables and a dessert buffet to die for! The staff aboard was kind and attended to all our needs. Paul our bus driver was very professionally dressed, funny and an amazing driver. It was another fun trip!
