• Sewer Line repairs on Maylin Drive.
• Construction work Downtown has Main Street closed between Broad and Market. Look for detours, especially in the Market area today.
• Construction at the Apperson Bridge continues. Travel is still down to one lane in each direction.

SALEM'S 2026 STAR-B-Q CONCERT CANCELLED
The 2026 Salem Star-B-Q concert, scheduled for the Salem Farmers Market on Wednesday, October 21, has been cancelled. Anyone who has purchased tickets for the event can receive a full refund through their point of purchase. The headliner, Trey Pendley, was attempting to sandwich this Salem appearance in between shows in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Sacramento, California. We apologize for the inconvenience.

TIME TO GET RID OF THOSE BAD DRUGS
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The Salem Police Department will be collecting unused and expired prescription drugs at no cost. Properly disposing of these can save lives and help the environment.

FRANKLIN STREET SECTION CLOSED DUE TO ROCK SLIDE
Heavy rains caused a rock slide on a tight section of Franklin Street between Ambler Lane and Niblick Drive on Sunday night.

Salem Street Department crews have closed the section and will clean up the area into the first part of the week. A detour has been set up. Thank you for your patience!
