Culture Crawl 2026 kicked off today with South Middle school! Thank you Cash Hollistah for making connections to the work we do, and wrapping up a fun day of arts and culture in downtown Salina.

had a great time rockin’ with the 6th graders from Salina South Middle School as part of the 10th annual Salina Cultural Crawl! me and my guy Sir Charles represented Salina Arts & Humanities at our crawl stop, and gave the kids a lil’ dose of hip-hop history and how it correlates with ELA (English Language Arts).

as always to Salina Area Educators, and big ups to Principal Dooley, the teachers, USD 305 and Salina Education Foundation.

Governor Laura Kelly has signed a proclamation recognizing October as National Arts & Humanities Month in Kansas! We love to see the arts and humanities celebrated at the state level.

Here in Salina, the arts are part of who we are. They fill downtown with live music and events, give young people a place to express themselves, and bring neighbors together who might never otherwise meet. Through the arts we tell our stories, support local creatives and small businesses, and make Salina a place people are proud to call home and excited to visit.

This month, we invite you to get out and experience the arts in Salina:

- Catch a live performance at a local venue
- Visit a museum, gallery, or exhibit
- Attend a community event
- Try something creative yourself
- Support a local artist or arts organization

Every ticket and every visit helps keep our community thriving!
