Alright! Here we go.. we've got work happening in Wichita Monday for Trumps visit to the Heartland credit arena!

We've reached out to organizers in the area and will be offering our sound system and volunteers.

If you're interested, shoot us a message!

There are various levels of participation here. Sidewalk chalk, protests..

You dont have to go viral by going inside. Simply reserving seats you don't intend to use is understanding the assignment enough. ✊️

Hundreds Gather in Scott City as Kansas Organizers Deliver Mutual Aid and Protest ICE Actions

SCOTT CITY, Kan. — Hundreds of people gathered in Scott City Thursday evening to protest recent ICE enforcement actions across southwest Kansas and stand with immigrant workers and families.

Members of Committed Kansas Activists, a Salina-based grassroots organization working with community groups and mutual-aid networks across Kansas, traveled to Scott City alongside other organizations and volunteers. The group regularly works with partners in Wichita, Ottawa County and communities throughout the state to respond quickly when Kansans need support.

Volunteers brought hygiene products and other mutual-aid supplies for families affected by the recent enforcement activity.

“This is not just about people with criminal convictions anymore, as if that was ever okay.” said Shelby Hermesillo of Committed Kansas Activists. “Workers and families are scared. People without criminal records are being detained, while legal pathways for workers are also being tightened. Every person deserves due process, and our communities deserve better than living in fear.”

Committed Kansas Activists and partnering organizations will continue coordinating mutual aid as needs develop across southwest Kansas and throughout the state.

Photos from Thursday evening’s protest are available for publication.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Scott City organizers launch mutual-aid response for families affected by ICE activity
SCOTT CITY, Kan. — Sept. 24, 2026 — Community organizers in Salina and surrounding areas in Kansas are mobilizing to provide immediate assistance to families affected by recent ICE enforcement activity in Scott City and surrounding communities.

Michelle Jones and Shelby Hermosillo are on the ground in Scott City, working directly with families to identify immediate needs and coordinate assistance. Committed Kansas Activists and Scott County Kansas Democrats are helping organize the broader mutual-aid response.
Organizers in Kansas are currently assisting people in Scott City, Leoti, Plains, Dighton, Shallow Water and surrounding areas with groceries, transportation, hygiene products, power-of-attorney paperwork, connections to attorneys and other emergency needs.

Additional volunteers are traveling from Wichita with hygiene supplies, while organizers across Kansas are coordinating donations and additional resources.

“This is about making sure families know they are not alone,” organizers said. “When people are afraid to leave their homes, go to work or get basic necessities, the community has to show up. Right now, that means food, transportation, legal resources and whatever else these families tell us they need.”

Families needing assistance can call or text:

Community members interested in donating supplies, contributing financially or volunteering are encouraged to contact organizers directly.

Please call your senator, I was able to find someone at Moran’s Olathe office picked up, and I said I wanted a call back after I told him about trumps unhinged demented, war crime ridden post. Also I want him reminded he works for US! 913-393-0711 let’s start flooding that line.
