🚧 Service in Action 🚧 Our team has been hard at work this week enhancing the Hartnell Park area! We’ve leveled uneven ground and begun reseeding to promote healthier grass and ensure safer play for everyone.

Thank you for your patience as the area recovers. We’re excited to reopen it soon for sports and play! Stay tuned for updates!

Quick throwback to Mayor Donohue at the Closter Park grand reopening! He shared why this space is such an important community asset and a destination enjoyed by people from all over the city, across generations. From Little League to adult softball and everything in between, this park has been part of so many local memories. 🌳 🌷 🫧

Recently, the park had experienced graffiti, vandalism, and other damage. Closter Park is a newly renovated space built for the Salinas community. It’s a place for children to play, families to gather, neighbors to connect, and everyone to enjoy.

As our community enjoys this beautiful space, let’s work together to keep it welcoming, clean, and beautiful for everyone. Every small act of care makes a difference.

Out to Lunch & Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Our Firehouse Seniors enjoyed another fun-filled outing with our Out to Lunch Bunch! After sharing a delicious meal and spending time together, they headed over to Borchard Pumpkin Patch for some fall fun!

We love seeing our seniors staying active, making memories, and enjoying all the wonderful experiences our community has to offer. Thank you for joining us on these special outings!

The City of Salinas invites you to join the conversation about the renaming of City parks and library facilities currently bearing the name Cesar Chavez.

This meeting is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to participate! Learn about the renaming process, explore eligible name submissions, ask questions, and cast your vote on which names should move forward for consideration.

The City is hosting a panel discussion and emergency readiness resource fair for the community to learn about what the City and our partners are doing to prepare for the Super El Niño, what you can do to be and what emergency resources and services are available to the community.
