Help support the Rowan County 4-H Ball Drive going on throughout the month of October. We are seeking NEW athletic balls to donate to local schools and youth-serving organizations! Find a drop box at our Extension office!

It's October 1, which means it's time for our annual county-wide 4-H service project throughout the whole month of October! Any an all (whether in 4-H or not) are invited to participate! Our 4-H County Council (youth ages 12-18) are hosting this drive! We have a drop off box at the Rowan County Cooperative Extension office (address on the flyer). We are asking for NEW items! We know so many local schools and youth-serving programs go through athletic balls quickly, so help us continue to provide these items to encourage healthy outdoor play!

Join Rowan County Farm Bureau for the final Ag Matters Commissioner Candidate Forum on Monday, October 5 at 6:00 PM at the Rowan County Events Center.
This forum is an opportunity for community members to hear directly from candidates and learn more about issues that impact agriculture and Rowan County.

If you know of a Rowan County youth who owns chickens, get them involved in the NEW youth poultry show held during the Rowan County Fair! Get registered NOW as time is of the essence! You can find registration information at rowan.ces.ncsu.edu; scroll down to the "Rowan County Fair" icon and then find the rules & entry form. Check-in is THIS SUNDAY, September 20, so get registered ASAP!

It's Plant Sale time! Get those orders in by calling 704-216-8970!

Did you know that blueberries are high in antioxidants and low in calories? If you want to grow your own blueberries or other healthy fruits, then look no further than the 4-H Plant Sale!

Our annual 4-H Plant Sale opened for orders on Tuesday, September 1. We have limited inventory, so the sooner you order the better!

Orders must be in by Thursday, October 29 and pick up is Thursday, November 5. Order by calling 704-216-8970.
